Fulham are closing in on the signing of Chelsea attacker Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to Sky Sports.
They are still apart in their valuation, but talks are in the advanced stage and the deal will likely go through.
Hudson-Odoi wants to leave Chelsea after becoming surplus to requirements at the club. He is waiting on a move to the Cottagers, where he will hope to rekindle his career.
The 22-year-old emerged as one of the brighter talents in Chelsea’s academy before making his senior team debut under Antonio Conte.
He subsequently impressed in pre-season under Maurizio Sarri, but the Italian manager made him wait before giving him his shot at competitive games.
Bayern Munich then came calling. The Bavarian giants were keen on Hudson-Odoi and offered up to £40 million, but the Blues rejected the proposal.
However, a long-term injury halted his progress. He signed a new contract with Chelsea but struggled to nail down a starting spot under subsequent managers.
Hudson-Odoi went on loan to Bayer Leverkusen last season, but he failed to impress and Die Werkself decided not to make the move permanent.
The three-cap England international wants to leave Chelsea for their London rivals Fulham.
Former Chelsea teammate and now Fulham attacker Willian has urged Hudson-Odoi to join him at Craven Cottage.
Fulham could make him their second summer signing after securing the signature of Raul Jimenez, who has joined from Wolverhampton Wanderers for £5.5 million.
They also have deals lined up to sign Mohammed Salisu and Calvin Bassey, although they will choose between one of the two.
Fulham have reportedly received a £5 million bid from AS Monaco for defender Tosin Adarabioyo.
Adarabioyo is a top target for the Ligue 1 club as they look to reinforce their defence ahead of next season.
