Fulham re-enter race for Nottingham Forest target Callum Hudson-Odoi 

Fulham have re-opened talks to sign Chelsea attacker Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to the Evening Standard.

The Cottagers were in the race to sign the Hudson-Odoi but pulled out of the deal due to Chelsea’s £8 million demands.

However, with Sevilla winger Lucas Ocampos rejecting Fulham despite the clubs agreeing a fee, they have been forced back to the negotiating table for the Chelsea man.

Nottingham Forest have been advancing with a deal for Hudson-Odoi, but Fulham have now re-entered the race, giving the player a tough choice.

He now has to decide between a stay in London or a move to rejoin his former Under-21 coach, Steve Cooper.

Hudson-Odoi has asked to leave Chelsea after returning from his loan to Bayer Leverkusen last season.

His time in Germany was uninspiring, and he returned to Stamford Bridge as Leverkusen refused to make his stay permanent.

The 22-year-old has been training with Chelsea’s Under-21 side. He now has to choose between Fulham and Forest.

Fulham will back themselves to win the race. They have already beaten Forest to the signature of Willian earlier this summer.

They took their time to consider whether to renew his signature, and Forest tried to swoop in, but the Brazilian ultimately chose the London outfit.

The Cottagers are trying to close out several deals before the close of the transfer window tomorrow.

They are in talks to sign Everton star Alex Iwobi, and his addition would pave the way for Fulham midfielder Harrison Reed to move to Wolverhampton Wanderers. 

Fulham also want to sign Youssouf Fofana. The Frenchman is their contingency plan, with star man Joao Palhinha in talks to join Bayern Munich.

They need a striker to replace Aleksandar Mitrovic, but primary target Niclas Fullkrug is close to signing for Borussia Dortmund.

Fulham manager Marco Silva also wants further additions in the full-back areas.
