Chelsea will look to continue their winning streak when they welcome Liverpool to Stamford Bridge on Sunday. 

The stakes are very high for the Blues compared to Arne Slot’s men who have already wrapped up the Premier League title.

Chelsea will enter the upcoming match on the back of a dominating 4-1 triumph over Djurgarden in the first leg of their Europa Conference League semi-final. 

First-half strikes from Jadon Sancho and Noni Madueke put the visitors in control. Nicolas Jackson then came off the bench to bag a brilliant double, before Isak Alemayehu pulled one back for the Swedish outfit. 

Chelsea now have one foot in the Europa Conference League final, but their main priority is to secure a top-five finish in the Premier League. 

They are set to face one of toughest opponents in the league, with Newcastle United, Manchester United and Nottingham Forest to meet the West Londoners after Liverpool’s visit. 

However, the good Chelsea news is they are starting to hit form just at the perfect time. 

Enzo Maresca’s men outclassed Fulham earlier this month and followed that up with another success against Everton last weekend. 

On the other hand, Liverpool thrashed Tottenham Hotspur 5-1 last Sunday that confirmed their new status as champions of England. 

The Reds conceded an early goal but cruised to an emphatic win after five of their players got their names on the scoresheet. 

Team News 

Liverpool don’t have a lot of injury worries this weekend, with Joe Gomez to be their sole absentee due a hamstring issue. Conor Bradley is set to train with the team and could be involved in the match. 

As for Chelsea, there are plenty in the infirmary at the moment, with Wesley Fofana, Marc Guiu, Omari Kellyman, Mykhaylo Mudryk and Aaron Anselmino all battling injury problems.
